THE LIVING REED

I just read The Living Reed by Pearl S. Buck. It´s an amazing book about four generations of a Korean family and their lives during the Japanese invasion. I had never heard of the book or author before, but I guess it was famous back in the day and she won a noble prize for writing. It really has me intrigues about Korea. Maybe I will go there next.

I loved Pearl S. Buck when I first came to the US from Germany a long long time ago.

And now we are reading the book that you mentioned for tomorrow - here in California for my book club.

I have never read this particular book before - I am not finished- partly I bought such an old book through Amazaon.

I really like the story, etc. and I am happy I came across your blog entrance!

Greetings, Heide

Next time you are in England come visit me and bring a big bag of books. It looks like you have been reading some cool stuff.

You can take anything you want from my bookshelf. You probably wont like most of it but i did re-read the godfather recently. That was a top book.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% positive.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was super
long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any helpful hints for first-time blog writers? I'd definitely
appreciate it.
